I have to disagree slightly, I saw them this week and I would say they were VERY skilled.. one of the most complete live sets I have ever seen and a nice bunch of lads too. Danny on lead guitar was awesome, some of the solo's had us all gaping open mouthed. Underrated band if ever there was one!

Anathema is such a complex band. The more I listen to them the more I realize that they don't exactly seem to be the most skilled band around, but they are all about their atmosphere and creativity. Anathema's simplistic style is made up for their quality in songwriting and lyrical content. I guess its really hard to explain, but nevertheless they're one of my favorite bands. I wish they would use their untapped potential to the fullest...
